23rd Annual Criminal Law Practice in SC

On-Demand

The SC Bar-CLE Division is pleased to present the 23rd Annual Criminal Practice in South Carolina seminar. As always, Course Planner Amie Clifford has created a challenging and exciting agenda and has recruited a fabulous faculty of judges and practitioners who will share their insights on the hottest and most practical topics in South Carolina criminal practice.  This special program features a review of significant appellate decisions from 2013, "tips from the bench" from a terrific panel of Circuit Judges, a legislative review and preview with House District 47 Representative Tommy Pope, practical guidance on avoiding traps when negotiating guilty pleas with Andy Savage, a full hour of ethics, and a powerful presentation by Steve Sumner and Bar Lawyers Helping Lawyers Director Robert Turnbull on "secondary traumatic stress/vicarious trauma/compassion fatigue" in practicing attorneys. This segment qualifies for the Mental Health/Substance Abuse credit, as well as counting as an ethics hour.
