Hot Tips is back for 2013 and better than ever! Course Planners Vance Stricklin and Melissa Brown continue a tradition of excellence with a program that promises to be entertaining, practical, and - as always - fast-paced and exciting!
This year's edition of Hot Tips promises to "stir the pot" by giving you various and opposing perspectives on some of the most challenging issues and practices in Family Court. You will hear a point-counterpoint on the new Temporary Hearings Rule, and on the merits of Collaborative Law practice. In addition, you will get perspectives from recently retired Judge Leslie Riddle and from newly installed Judge Monet Pincus. You will get valuable insights on handling complex cases depending on whether your client has or doesn't have the money to support that level of litigation, and on calculating child support for the haves and have-nots.
The 2013 program also features an adoption update under the Indian Child Welfare Act by John Nichols, an update on DOMA, practical tips on advocacy by Ken Lester and Sandi Parise, updates and insights on everything from emancipation, to name changes, to how to help your forensic accountant, the impact of electronically stored information, child custody, and a session on ethics.
